The way you're describing it almost indicts ever Mario Cawley fight he had lost then. It wasn't that he had no heart, he was throwing them.

Until I see conclusive evidence to the contrary, what happened was that Medina wanted to have his pie and eat it to. By that I mean he wanted his paycheck and his teeth so he could eat pie on the flight home.
