Arum to Mayweather: "You want a Pacquiao fight? Fight Cotto or Marg first."

hell no, there's just too much money in a pac/pbf fight... the only obstacle is pbf's purse demands and the lawsuit between arum and pbf.Comment

Either way, Floyd is in a sticky situation if he does come back to fight Manny. If he does, its because of the money he will make. That alone goes back on his word of not needing any more. If he fights Manny, everyone will know he ducked Margarito and Cotto to fight the smaller men in Hatton and Pac.Comment

and Floyd fans want a Pac match so he doesn't have to face Margarito or Cotto.

I mean really after Hatton which is a big fight also that will bring in much cash, who is there that would really bring in the long green for Pacman and by extension Arum.
He is retired, so he would have to be lured out of retirement, which means you really do not make crazy demands on him because he could just say **** you I am retired and I hate you anyway Bob so good luck making as much money as you will make with me elsewhere. Bob Arum knows all of this, they need each other to make a HUGE fight, it is not all Floyd and it is not all Pacman but together it would make for a huge fight. After Hatton what is left for Manny? JMM but there is a ton more money to be made with Floyd.
You should be happy if Floyd takes this fight because he will have to bury the hachet with Arum, which would allow for Floyd to possibly fight some welter weights that people get so bent out of shape about Floyd not fighting~ then again he could just retire again after so who knows.Last edited by The Gambler1981; 12-09-2008, 05:53 PM.Comment
