Yeah, if you compare their performances at the elite level, Floyd is nowhere near the monster that Pacman is. Who did Floyd KO from 135 to 154? Only Hatton? Gatti is not elite. If Floyd so much as attempts to KO Pac, he'll get KO'd himself.

You have had your time to pout and party, now it's time to get down to becoming a legend like Roy Jones Jr. (the greatest). His losses came from age not from running. His competition just wasn't on his level in the multiple divisions he ruled. He will be respected more when he's gone. Mayweather needs to do the same. STEP UP YOUR GAME. LETS SEE IF YOU CAN BACK IT UP. Start with Manny and Margarito.
Tell that to Sugar Ray Leonard

      or Kostya Tszyu

      or Joe Frazier

man, i shake my head at some of the logic on this board. Its almost as if whole careers dont even count anymore.

Who did Floyd KO from 135 to 154? Only Hatton?
Floyd was a monster at 135, everyone knows this, he was also a monster at 140, unfortunately nobody in that division ever fought anyone, the only signifigant fights in that division the last 4 years have been hatton/tszyu, hatton/malignaggi as well as Cotto/Malignaggi, thats basically it.

I guess if i started watching boxing as soon as pacman meant something, i guess i too would disregard floyds entire career, ring intelligence and experience in favor of a triangle theory of bull****.

I don't think Pac man could beat Mayweather, Cotto, or Judah....He has a waaaaaaaaaay better chance beating Hatton.

mayweather is a great hall of fame fighter with damn near impenetrable defense. however, floyd hasn't faced a fighter with the workrate, n tenacity that pacman brings. factor in the speed at which his punches come through and the awkward angles they connect and I see floyd getting frustrated. either floyd steps up to the challenge and releases his inner beast or pacquiao will make history YET AGAIN. i still think it will be a great fight that can go either way.

For boxing to survive as a sport it needs to hype fights better.

Hatton fighting Pacquiao makes sense. If Pac wins, we see Mayweather vs Pacquiao battle for the undisputed P4P title and if Hatton wins we see Hatton-Mayweather 2 in the UK.

Either way, 2 fights are better for the sport than one.
