This would be 10x's better than pacman v. hatton in my opinion.

I think cotto v. pacman would start off as a boxing match on cotto's part but by about the 4th/5th round i'd expect this to turn to a toe to toe battle...

the end result would be a stoppage of some kind...not really sure which way it goes through...i would lean towards cotto by 10th round TKO.

After seeing what Pac has done to DLH is seriously think that Cotto and Floyd are the only legit fighter for Pac right now.

          Cotto would KO him
Nobody even mention Margarito v Pacquaio.

Cotto would not freeze up like Oscar did. Cotto has the kind of jab that dictates a fight, especially against a smaller man. Every time Pac would come in Cotto would throw, and eventually that would get to Pac. Pac picked Oscar apart because Oscar wasn't throwing....that wouldn't happen with Cotto. He would respect Cotto much more and Cotto would dictate the pace.

I would predict Cotto to put a serious beating on Pac. Maybe Pac would be competitive in the early rounds with his movement, but with his style Cotto would get him.

And people can't say "oh isn't that what people said about Oscar", you can't even come close to comparing that version of Oscar with the current version of Cotto.

Just like DLH would KO him brutally?

You cannot compare the fight with Oscar to a one with Cotto
Cotto wouldn't be trapped up in the corner that's for sure
Plus, Pac would have a right hand to deal with.

Guys like Cotto & Margarito are too much for Pac.

I highly doubt Roach would put him in there with Cotto.

Cotto by KO, but who knows in about 2-3 years

Pacquiao is a beast, but lets not get carried away. DLH was not on the pound for pound list in the last 4 or 5 years for a reason, he hasn't been an elite fighter for years.

The last time Manny fought a legitimate p4p fighter (top 3 at that) he won a decision that many felt he lost. Now if you move him north 24 pounds against guys who are competing at the highest level he is in some trouble. It's no knock on Manny, he has to be considered one of the greatest fighters of his era. But he would be better off fighting Hatton (who I think he can beat) and then looking to rematch Juan Manuel Marquez or possibly a showdown with Floyd. A JMM fight could possibly give us some convincing closure and a fight with Floyd would be huge and could be a very good fight, but more inmportantly none of those fights put him in a position to get seriously hurt by men who are highly skilled, in their prime, and a lot larger than he is.

at 147 cotto would seriously hurt pac, but at 140 I think pac has a chance to upset cotto
