And like I mentioned before, the UFC will at least show a fight when they have 40 goddamn minutes of air to fill instead of treating the fans to a nearly dead Larry Merchant with his pointless and endless analogies.

On top of that, the UFC's PPV is $10 less than an HBO PPV.

Dana is saying is that the production ****** pipe and that nobody can bring more PPV revenue than DLH, who will probably retire now. Who can look beyond his bald headed doucheyness and honestly disagree with him?? The man has a point.

to me most of the boxing ppv's have struggled, this one included. but again, it's not like dana white is ingeniously pointing out some previously unknown gem. i take all of it in context, and what i see is the head honcho of an MMA organization walking out a boxing match for god's sake, and claiming that it was a bad day for boxing and insinuating that boxing's on a nosedive...wow, what a coincidence that the target audience for his UFC overlaps that of boxing! It's just more of the same smoke and mirrors from Dana (I love boxing, I came from boxing, BUT....).

I didn't see Bob Arum, Don King, etc. walking out of a UFC PPV and mouthing off.

Dana white is popping off about DLH-Pacquiao? The same Dana White that put on UFC 90, with Anderson Silva running around like a headless chicken in the main event?

All the boxing promoters don't need to attend or even watch a UFC fight. UFC/MMA will never come close to generating half as much as boxing does.

Boxing is a civilized combat sport. UFC isn't packaged like that.

It's like Family Guy vs. The Simpsons....they're the same, but different.

IMO, Boxing is more asethically pleasing than two half naked guys rolling around the ground with each other. Naw...i'm cool.

HBO PPV production is still better than a UFC PPV Bout. Maybe last night wasn't the best example, but it still think that HBO packages boxing the best. Better than Showtime, Vs., ****e, ESPN.

To be fair the UFC is not all of MMA it's just a promotion and at the moment the only one making money while the remainder of MMA promotions are either dead, dying or yet to make a profit. It's just Dana White's penis envy being made fully on display by Dana himself. White has belly flopped in boxing, boxercise and boxing promotion as my posted article clearly shows. His statements on boxing are his way of 'getting back' at the sport that laughed him out of it.

How do you explain to the casual fan that he wasn't cheated out of $55 thanks to bad production and how do you think it will keep him/her buying more cards?

last i heard there were offering those rebates to help with the costs of the ppv so that 55$ price shouldnt really hurt too much to those that bought it and are smart....

as far as production..who GIVES A ****... people were still going to pay 55 bucks to see oscar de lahoya (SUPERSTAR in the mexican demographic) and Pacman( GODDAMN presidental Pele status in his home country) .. they didnt give a **** about the undercard...

most undercards now a days are showcases for fighters who will lead to main events in the future.. kinda like cotto was on some dlh undercards and such....

what we saw on that wack undercard was three new superstars (or at least 2 for sure) that demolished their competion....big deal...mabye the averge novice will now remember those fighters in the future maybe not... most people were waiting for the main event anyway....


and how gives a **** about produciton... they got unlucky and had some quick ko's.. thats not their fault... that stuff happens all the time in the ufc and they of course fill it in with some nobody from ohio figthing some other nobody from indiana....

wow do i feel more satisfied seeing some scrubs as filler....

when dana has fighters that stop their nations to watch them fight (pacquaio) or fighters like dlh that will sell a million ppv to see him kill a bum like mayorga.. then he know he has it made....

What's pitiful is how the UFC will matchup no name skillless, bums pay them peanuts, have them knock their teeth out and have idiots like you calling them a great production. Ufc is built on shock value and unskilled brawling, to entertain the common moron who doesn't know the difference between real skill and unskilled violence.
