Why did people think this was a mismatch?

We naturally figured DLH would cut to 147 then balloon up to 160 instead of trying to make a point and draining himself to death until his body shriveled up. The criticism of this fight as a mismatch actually led DLH to take (very unadvised) steps to see that it wasn't, in the process reversing the mismatch in Pacquiao's favor.

NO, not with good cause because Dela Hoya got hit flush shots against Forbes and proved to me he could not pull the trigger,as Roach said, that is why my bets were on Pac to win because of that fight with Forbes on top of that Manny is a brilliant fighter.

People thought it was a mismatch because of size. I tried to tell them that boxing has never been about size and it never will be. It's more about styles, will power, hunger, and self belief. They wouldn't listen, and it seems they never will learn. Now maybe they will think again.
