IMO Pacquiao himself has turned into one of the smartest boxers there is himself!

I'm aware of that but Pacquiao is a tough guy to adapt to and he doesn't fade like Judah does, anyways as I said, I wouldn't pick Pacquiao to win but I don't think it would be one sided and I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow pulls out a victory.

One strange thing, and maybe you already know, for whatever reason, alot of guys get very gunshy against floyd, i know he is fast, but i think its probably because floyds power is rather deceptive or its unexpected. With that said, manny dropping big left hands over the shoulder would be a site to see, however mayweathers preperation is very unique, either way it would be exciting, but still, if there was a point in the fight where manny stopped throwing, it would be the same show all over again.

This would be an ideal matchup, but it'll probably never happen. I don't see any reason other than money, that Floyd would want to come out of retirement and challenge Manny Pacquiao. I believe that a Margarito- Pacquiao bout have a better chance of getting done than a Pacquiao-Mayweather one.

You're right, Mayweather's power is underrated, he has good power, he's not particularly a hard puncher but he has enough power to keep an opponent in check, his opponents also get gunshy because of his accuracy, they don't want to repeatedly get hit flush but can Mayweather be as accurate against a guy like Pacquiao, who is awkwardly hard to time, his movements don't really allow his opponents to time him that well, JMM obviously had the best success at timing him but JMM and Mayweather fight differently

And I agree, Pacquiao cannot get gunshy or hesitant against Mayweather, I don't think he would but that's just a guess because you never know what might happen in there.

with that being said, i seriously think they went too far with the henry armstrong comparison, espeicially when i refreshed my memory to that guys resume, i think thats taking it way too far, especially to the average fan who might say "PACMAN IS BETTER THAN SOME HENRY ARMSTRONG, HBO SAID IT"

also. i think marquez counterpunching is outstanding, but i think mayweather is alot better than him in terms of countering without eating some vicious counter like pac ended up doing, those knockdowns cost him the fight, against mayweather, those easy openings wont be there.

Their accomplishments are similar but yeah, Armstrong's resume at welterweight was much better.

Marquez is a more aggressive counterpuncher, Mayweather prefers to counterpunch off the back foot nowadays and time his opponents as they are coming in, timing is probably a bigger part of his counterpunching than Marquez' counterpunching so that could be a factor because Pacquiao is a tough guy to time.

And I agree, Mayweather won't give Pacquiao the opportunities to hit him that Marquez did but maybe Pacquiao can make his own opportunities.
