Pacquiao's footwork and timing is like that of Hopkins + his insane aggression and punching power.Comment

Mayweather is perhaps the best potshotter ever but Pacquiao is at least just as fast as he is if not faster, and Pacquiao is much more active. If today's Pacquiao fights the Mayweather that fought DLH, and the fight is done at 147, I see Pacquiao winning by decision but neither fighter would be hurt.
No way in hell would Mayweather go down to 140, so it's either 147 or it's not gonna happen.Comment

Well I don't follow what people say. I said I favored Oscar...but the circumstances, if right, like Freddie said, could be key for the "upset." In Freddie's mind, "upset" didn't exist because he saw Pac winning every time when he did the math. The Keys to Freddie were: Oscar inactivity; shoulder problem; having to make weight he hasn't made in a long time; and going up against a younger, hungrier, more active fighter...or...Kostya Tszyu vs. Hatton.
Pac gets my respect anyway; I said that in a post...but because he believed in Freddie and took the fight without question. Freddie was relying on the circumstances to come into play; Pac, was expected the best Oscar to show up.
I'm glad he won thoughLast edited by Benny Leonard; 12-07-2008, 12:27 AM.Comment

Floyd would have no problem getting down to 140! In fact, he'd probably be more comfortable there than 147 anyway. He probably weighs about 150 to 155 right now.Comment

What have I been talking about: Age, inactivity, and you wanting him to make a weight he hasn't fought in some time = disadvantage = smaller credit from me.
There is already no telling where Floyd is at Mentally and Physically. If he comes back and you want him to make 140....it's a joke.
I want to see the fairest fight possible.
I'm sick of this weight ****. Fight whatever is "healthy."
I'm tired of fighters having to over-train and drain themselves to make weight only to show up "Flat" for the fight.Comment
