Some people shoot their mouths off way too quickly around here. Let's not forget that this was only Froch's 24th pro fight. He has things to work on, but now he's entering the big league and I am very sure he will improve his game after studying his mistakes. I'd still pick him to beat most top SMW's simply because he has a granite chin and enough power to KO most of them. Taylor would lose. Bank on it. Kessler beats Froch though. On the other hand, Kess has had almost twice as many pro fights and he's a superb boxer with speed and power. I think he could hurt Kessler but lose a decision.

Didn't Pascal almost get KO'd by a subpar fighter before he ducked Miranda?

yes he did. he has a very suspect chin and is a very light puncher. not to mention he has never fought anyone in his entire career. yet froch barely beats him and now froch would beat taylor. bank on it! the hype train starts! these british posters are so ignorant its quite comical. froch dominates with his air jab! omg pascal ducked down to avoid a punch or as the british commentator would say "huge right hand by froch!"

Isn't that what everyone was saying about Lacy before he got exposed as a **** fighter?

When are people going to learn that power and toughness only carry a guy so far against world class opposition?

Yeah, he looked more hurt against Omar Pittman than he did against Froch.

O lacys **** now...typical 'fan'. Just face it...froch now is wbc world champion and he can call the shots. I personally think he could beat anyone at 168 pounds, especially with this experiance it will make him better( hes first real big fight). Hopefully he realises he wont last too much longer taking huge shots just because he thinks he can. I was impressed with hes jab. Great performance and fight..........FACE IT HAHAHHA

Face what? Froch was the wide favorite in this fight and Pascal was so lowly regarded by many that said even if Froch won, it wouldn't prove anything because Pascal isn't world class. If anything, Pascal improved his stock tonight by lasting 12 rounds when nearly 80% of the people polled on here and other sites had him getting sparked.

I give Froch credit for beating his opponent but a lot of his flaws were still evident in tonights fight and would get exploited by Bute, Taylor, and Kessler.

Maybe then he would train to the fullest and catch up with his potential.

While Taylor may underperform, he is anything but overrated considering how many people rate him so poorly.
Taylor hasn't beaten anyone worth mentioning at super-middleweight (Lacy is a journeyman nowadays so doesn't count) - yet the WBC rates Taylor as the no. 2 super-middleweight, just behind Froch, which I think is ridiculous. Quite a few other people seem to rate him unduly highly as well, judging by the number of posts here saying that Taylor would beat Froch easily. The Ring rates Taylor as the number 5 super-middleweight, and I would say that's about right.

As for whether he under-performed in his last 6 fights or over-performed against Hopkins is hard to say, but he hasn't looked very good since he fought Hopkins, and my hunch is that he just has a style that Hopkins finds hard to cope with at this stage of his career, and styles make fights. I very much doubt Taylor could cope with Bute, and I think Kessler would walk all over him.

Best fight ive seen in a while, but if Froch he wouldnt have a chance against kessler, taylor, bhop and CALZAGHE.

He needs to shut up about fighting Calzaghe and fight other fighters around the division.

Still good fight, pascal had many chances to take this fight.

If Froch gets 10/10 for courage against the relatively light-hitting Pascal, what marks would you give Ali for courage against Foreman? Or in the first fight with Norton, when Ali's jaw was broken in round one and he fought on for twelve rounds? 20/10? On the basis that you can't give anyone more than 10/10, and on the basis that you simply can't compare the courage Froch showed against Pascal with the courage shown by Ali against Foreman and Norton, I don't see how Froch can be given higher than 8/10 for courage and heart in this fight. Pascal is not even a knock-out artist, never mind another Foreman. And Froch didn't have to fight with a broken jaw for 12 rounds.
