Even if you have a reach disadvantage, don't abandon your jab. Shorter guys like Lacy and Hatton fall into their trap and they become crude and predictable when they do that. Double up on it and pop it with bad intentions when you're moving in. Try a left hook to the body and then bring it upstairs, vintage Evander style. Sounds exciting, good luck!

Stay mobile ala Quintana vs P Williams..

Keep moving and use your jab..
And from what I can remember, you have good hooks..
Use your straight right hand man, esp to counter..
Its fast and hard to block..

      Whats this guys defense like?
      Winky type?
If so, you have to hit that body man..
I hope were not confusing you either..

go to the head, then body, keep switching..
good luck man and always keep ur hands up!

My trainer says it should be a Good night for me if I just be myself and not to think about his reach-ko's and the look of his body.

What plan do you think I should come in the ring with next week?

*(sorry if someone gets mad that i posted here.. I just wanted to get as many responses as I could)*

I got my height checked and I'm just like a ceni under 6 foot.
Your a big guy,my plan would be,which i think could work, double jab to the chest, use alot of feints and come in with right uppercuts,u wont miss them, land the uppercut, hold him on the inside, and rough him up by hitting the body, slow him down, but u wont get to his head with the jab alot,i do think youd have alot of success jabbing the chest

              move, move, move

not straight back or forwards as you will be an easy target for his reach, but use angles, stay on your toes and move laterally at all times, move around him, then catch him as hes turning to meet you..then back out just out of range, and back on him again

move your head constantly also, shoulder movement helps too, this along with the lateral movement will make you an elusive target for a bigger guy

counterpunch everytime you make him miss

stay the hell off the ropes, if hes backed you onto them, fake one way and move out another way, or clinch if you need to

keep your hands up,as your forehead/eyes/nose will be a big target from where he is punching

if he has you in trouble, move or clinch

and dont hesitiate cos of his power to be aggressive (not that you would be lol) if you back him up or have him hurt, but still come in on an angle or move your head as you move in, and after one attack step off to the side and launch another attack, or move just out of range and then back on (and either move off or keep doing it)

but you should be fine, ive seen you box on your vids and you are a good boxer and very physically strong/powerful so the size diff wont be a massive factor for you, just move is the most important thing, your feet and your head, and of course do what your coach says lol

So keep the jab and lots of movement is what everyone is saying. definitely throw some body shots in there and stay off the ropes... I'm gonna win because i refuse to lose my first televised fight ever..

... for some reason ali's style is looking so good to me... I just feel like I can do it that way.. I know no ones gonna agree with that because Ali was and is Ali and is the only Ali... plus I have less reach...

Keep moving. There's some great advice here to be honest but the best thing you can do is to NOT stand in front of him. Keep on moving side to side, mix it up, throw combinations on the move and don't let him get set. Move your head as well and if he likes to lay on the ropes then get very close to him and hit him with short right hooks as well as with the left. If all else fails then accidentally twat him in the stones. Ooops.
