Oscar ATG, I don't give a fuck what some hater ass writer thinks. You could bring up any ATG boxer of this era and nitpick his career. Did this guy put JoeC as an ATG but fail to do so for DLH??? LMAO!!! Joe hasn't done anything near to DLH level. No disrespect to Cal btw.

this line of article just lost all credibility......
i mean, right now, im a bigger zaghe fan than a dlh fan(since oscar is not really an active boxer anymore...), but to say zaghe is an ATG and hoya isnt is just plain atrocious...

I can understand your opinion and wouldn't argue it. However, in fifty years, Calzaghe will still be the standard for greatness in a 168 lb. class with a growing and already fairly nice history. DLH will never make a top ten list in any weight class he's competed in and won't really be in the debate (at least not yet) about the top 25-50 GOAT (neither will Joe). Calzaghe is analogous to guys like Holmes and Marciano that way...the total career adds up by the end because at least with the few big tests he had, he passed. Oscar was more like Tyson...great start but uneven once his competition got truly challenging.Originally posted by chicano79us View PostOscar ATG, I don't give a fuck what some hater ass writer thinks. Just one opinion. Looking forward to doing Toney.

this is not a debate over if the article is legit or not, it makes some sense(though, i think it dwells too much on the negative part of hoya's career).....
to me this is about, if you think calzaghe is an ATG, then you should think Oscar is one as well.....otherwise, you have a bias....

Not true, but I can see where some would think so...it would be biased if there was no allowance for the other side of the debate. I think it's a fun debate.Originally posted by -Hyperion- View Postthis is not a debate over if the article is legit or not, it makes some sense(though, i think it dwells too much on the negative part of hoya's career).....

of course, oscar is not all-time-great but he certainly has a place in history. and those who still believe that trinidad won their only fight should review the fight. a boxing match is scored 10-point must per round. oscar was dominating trinidad from round 1 to round ten, and backpedalled only in rounds 11 and 12 and lose, not to trinidad but to the judges.
i can't believe the 11 and 12 rounds for trinidad can offset the ten rounds for delahoya.
