i'm a huge boxing fan, but i think that fight was boring.... only becuz it was oscar and floyd, was it interesting.... if you had two unknown guys in there, fighting the exact same fight, I think most die hard fans would think it was boring too...

Point im trying to make is that our opinion on whether fights are exciting or not really doesnt matter because we're more than likely going to buy the next ppv regardless knaw im talmbout? We love the sport that much. But casual fans have too much to choose from regarding what they want to spend their money on.

MMA fans love using DLH/Mayweather as an example of why they feel Boxing is boring. Dana White uses it to promote UFC.

Personally, I thought the fight was average. I actually enjoyed Pavlik/Hopkins more and was surprised to hear from a lot of casuals that they thought THAT fight was boring.

It was a good fight I enjoyed it..it wasnt boring...its just that Oscar will never beat Floyd so a rematch would be pointless.

Hopkins/Pavlik was certainly more exciting because Hopkins went the extra mile to put an exclamation point on his win. Neither fighter did that in the Floyd/Oscar fight. Bhop knew he had the win in the bag, yet he went out there and continued to batter Pavlik till the bell rang in the 12th.

it wasnt close to being the most boring fight ive ever seen but it was still boring. Both fighters refused to take any chances. Look obviously boxing isnt about pleasing the crowd or lookin for crazy headshots but it is about attackin ur opponent n neither fighter really tried except DLH a couple times. Just about everyone i know who are big boxing fans like me agreed that it was boring but of course most of us are mexicans who are previliged to have seen many amazing mexican warriors give it their all in that ring!

I liked it a lot then. I've watched it a lot and it's not a bad fight. I think Mayweather could have done more to not make it so close in the middle rounds (even though he won clearly), but he waited till Oscar tired to make sure. It was a good fight.
