    I've noticed a recurring theme

when a David Haye fight is brought up.....

"whoever lands the first bomb wins"

    LOL

It's a bitter sweet statement in a way, praising his power but sending his chin to hell.

I see his chin isnt really good but I think it's kind of exagerrated around here, as if he'll get KOd by a strong gust of wind.

When's the last time he was seriously hurt? (I havent been following David for that long)

Well Mormeck had him in trouble and down. Even Enzo wobbled him in the first round with a left hook people forgot that because he nearly punched Enzo's head into Joe Calzaghe's lap in the next round.

Fragomeni not a great puncher had him bleeding buckets and wibbling and wobbling all over the shop. That's just in recent times. Fragomeni could actually have stopped him if Haye didn't have so much heart and power.

I love Haye, but someone is going to lay him out eventually.

Fragomeni cut him but never hurt him and Enzo never hurt Haye in the first it was a clear stumble.

his chin is poor but not as poor as your view on fights clearly.

I thought he was in trouble against Fragomeni, more to do with stamina.

Yeah a few people think Enzo hurt Haye a bit in the first but i think it was a stumble as well. I don’t remember Frag hurting him but he did open up a massive cut. Mormeck had Haye hurt though and landed a fair number of straight rights on him, then again Mormeck is quicker than most heavyweights and probably has more power than some at heavyweight as well.

iv said it before and i'll say it aain all these threads about davids chin are useless and worthless until he actually gets tagged by a HW punch. Haye was a huge CW, very often when he had to make weight he was taking muscle off as well as fat and dehydration.

sometimes when you take that much out a fighter it takes alot for them to recover from the weigh in and the fight, just look at miguel cotto. the guy has a pretty solid chin at WW, he withstood alot of good shots from sugar shane and bombs from marg before finally going down. at jnr WW it was a different story he was often shaky and could be wobbled by seemingly innocous punches.

now that david has moved up dont be surprised if he also shows a good chin. even if he doesn't have a goof chin i think everyone has to realize that the guy has guts and has a fighting heart, just look at the fragemoni fight or the mormeck fight.

Enzo didn't hurt Haye it was just a stumble. Mormeck had him down but Haye came back, Fragomeni cut him and tested him like he had never been tested before, but he came back to win. Fragomeni never looked like he was going to knock Haye out though.
