Paul Williams vulnerabilty was shown during the Quintana fight. Cotto beats him by wide UD.
I really dont see what all the hype about Williams is all about. He has'nt impressed me one bit so far in his career.

Team Cotto saw the same thing with Cotto at 140, and is now campaigning at 147. Team Williams will be doing the same soon enough, not just for Verno Phillips.
So what that Cotto beat Quintana, and Quintana won the first fight with Williams. Carlos Quintana is good, though I believe it was more of Williams being weight drained, over trained, and couldn't compete. Even though Williams has a huge work rate, there is not much behind those flickering jabs to really keep Cotto off him like Margarito did. Simply put...Williams can't really hurt Cotto. (like the Tiajuana Tornado did).
Williams doesn't have any trouble at all at 147.He says Welter is his most comfortable weight.
Williams has way too much stanima and punch-resistance to say he is weight-drained at 147.

Tony could not force Williams to fold like a beach towel.

Williams stops him earlier and easier than Margarito did.
Tony ended that hyped-up midget once and for all.

Williams throws a lot of punches, has a great chin, is super tall, and has an enormous reach. But Cotto's best aspect to his boxing is his ability to break down his opponent by going to the body. Cotto would be at perfect level to let his hands go all day on Williams body.
Also Cotto's stance gives him a natural advantage against Williams. Because Williams is tall his punches come straight down at the top of Cotto's guard. Cotto keeps his hands high and this is a natural advantage for Cotto.
I believe once Cotto starts landing those big body shots he will be able to land upstairs too. Williams is known to leave his chin out especially when he backs up. I think Cotto has a natural style to beat Williams.
