P4P criteria should be Resume and quality wins and difficulty in the division you are at. Cotto should be ahead of all those guys. 1 Loss doesnt drop you out of the list unless you where 9 or 10. POeople compare Cottos loss to Hattons loss. Just look at the opposition that Floyd beat before fighing HAtton and look at the opposition that Margarito fought before Cotto. Margarito fought way better opposition than Floy at WW. So losing to Margarito can not be worst that losing to Floyd in that particular moment. Again Hatton and Cotto deserve to be top 10 P4P, but Cotto should be higher, Dawson and Donaire and all those guys listed are not P4P quality yet. The havent done enough.
So losing to Margarito can't be worse than losing to Floyd? please!! During his entire career, FLoyd has fought waaay better opposition than Margarito..
Hatton should be higher than Cotto p4p.. Hatton lost to one of the best fighters of this era and the guy happened to be the number p4p fighter in the world.. Cotto lost to a guy who wasn't even on the p4p list.. Since his defeat Hatton beat Lazcano and Paulie, with Paulie being one of the best guys in his division.. What else does Dawson have to do to get on your p4p list.. he damn near cleaned out his division

basically thats ranking Cotto over Margarito because he beat Mosley who is ranked higher then Margarito. Also similar is ranking Margarito over Williams because he beat Cotto because he is ranked higher then Paul. Both are wrong in my opinion, but maybe I'm crazy.

Yes, he should. Even in his sole loss to Tony, Cotto fought like an elite fighter and showed how versatile and capable he is. Tony may be THE stylistic nightmare for Cotto, but that man can brawl, box, bully whatever. Hes got a jab, switch hits, body shots and everything comes with POWER.
Cotto is a P4P fighter hands down, IMO.

The fight with Margarito was back in late 06 though. Clottey has some good wins, but Zab already got destroyed many times (something about that sentence is funny XD). I think that he still needs a solid win at 147 other than Zab, somebody like Berto would be good.

Look if you are going to base your list in a fighters last fight. Well I guess Cotto should be like 50 P4P cuz he got KOed!!!!! Do you think Floyd got to be #1P4P because he beat Baldomir and DLH? or you think pac got his #1 P4P because he beat JMM and Diaz? I guess not. A guys resume counts a lot for P4P rankings. But like i told you before P4P rankings are based on opinions. So we could have a entire different list and not be wrong!!!!!

He only have 3 decent wins in his resume, and one was a disputable desicion. Enough said about Dawson being a P4P. DO I belive he will be a top P4P by mid next year, or course. But depending on his opposition, if he manages to beat a Kessler or B-Hop, or Froch, or some rank 168-175 guy he is in but not yet.

Just so you know he is my favorite 175 pounder, now that Calzaghe is almost retire. Dawson is very good but he is not proven yet!!!!!!!!!

You're forgetting the Eric Harding fight too. And your listing supermiddleweights and a guy who is about to retire who he should beat. Maybe when SMW gets too crowded someone will move up after Pavlik, Abraham, Miranda get there.
