However that did not happen as he avenged his loss via 1st rd ko. Optional defense nothing...Margarito was not vocal about a rematch enough and it's obvious why, he didn't want one. He took the shortcut to the top, a 6 foot 2 tall shortcut and now he isn't willing to give it up.
there are no facts in this at all its just your theory yet I did show you that Williams didnt mention Margarito until 6/08

I already addressed that. Goosen Tutor already addressed that: http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=16968

Nothing but an aliby to excuse the fact that he is even less eaget to fight Williams now then he was when he was the WBO champion and when Williams was his mandatory.
dumb ass he descredits diaz's words and claims goosens words are "facts" williams fans are such hypocrites!!!

This is a message board isn't it?? Where we exchange posts and opinions about certain topics. Not everything can be a article or a 100% factual document to prove something now can it? The was no murder comitted here so there is no DNA evidence to 100% proof or disprove anything. I already posted an article that covers points 1, 2 and 3 about Margarito thinking he won the first fight but then changing his tune after watching the tape. And not mentioning a rematch anywhere in the article.....only talking about Golden Johnson and Cotto.

they're free. I don't know how it works he kind of explained but didn't pay too much attention. They do like some kind of lottery where toprank and GBP get a certain amount of tickets and out of those tickets he always gets a hand ful of them. I had chavez jr vs vanda tickets too but i had to cancel last minute i had some family stuff come up that weekend.

I'm not using Goosen's words as facts. Lets just say the two cancel each other out.

Then all it goes back to is that Williams has been calling out margarito when he was the mandatory and that Margarito has not been calling out Williams in the same way when he was the WBO mandatory, signaling that he is not eager to get back in the ring with The Punisher.

                Common sense approach.

but again YOU are stating your "theory" as facts in trying to correct someone and yet after posting countless links, from this site mind you, about how Williams really never cared to fight Magarito from 7/07 to about 6/08 then you go disclaiming Magarito's co manager as nothing more than an alibi even though this site's owner actually saw the formal petition. Now you can claim "well thats what he said" but Margarito indeed state on 11/11/07 his preference would be to fight as the mandatory to Williams, on this very site, as his next fight.

again using this site as a reference I shot your whole theory down. Since your theory is now basura you back up a bit and use the whole "whoa this is a message board I am only stating what I think" when you tried to pass it off as facts...nice try

                      For Eanar0919:

                      http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/box...dan&id=3097761

The only mention about a Williams rematch:

Things didn't turn out the way I had hoped. But I'm right back on track, so I'm looking forward to this fight (vs Golden Johnson) and then fighting the [Cotto-Mosley] winner and maybe Paul Williams down the road."

A slow start cost Margarito against Williams as he fell behind early and could not make up the ground. He said he won't let that happen again against Johnson, the Cotto-Mosley winner or Williams if they fight again.

"You always learn from every fight," he said. "It's always different things to learn from every fight. I now know that I have to start fast, that I have to throw a lot of punches, and that's what I intend to do in my next fight.
                      "

After the Williams fight, Margarito was convinced he had won and was vocal about it. In the months that have passed, he has eased up on the rhetoric after watching video of the fight.

"After watching the tape, I noticed how slow I started," he said. "The guy was throwing punches that were not effective. They were just a lot of punches. So all I have to do is do the same thing -- come out from the first bell and then start throwing punches no matter where they land or how they land.

"At the time when I was fighting the fight, I thought I was doing very well and I thought I was well ahead in the fight. But once I saw it on tape, I can see where people would say maybe the first few rounds I lost because he was throwing a lot of punches. Not that he was doing any damage with them but he was throwing a lot of punches. I can see where the judges would be impressed by that and I got into a hole which I didn't know I was in. I can see why he [won]. I have no problem with that."

Conclusion: No mention of Williams ducking him. Plenty of mention of fightin the Cotto - Mosley winner and Golden Fish. Only now are they talkin about a petition they made to the WBO when it's convincient to them.
