James Toney is the most protected fighter in boxing. Have you seen all the padding he has around his mid-section????

When is he going to test himself against the best and not clubfighters like Miranda who was exposed by Pav as being a classic bully, good going forward but fails once you back him up. Pav destroyed Miranda and softened him up for the AA rematch. arthur should be thanking Kelly for the ease of his win. And then arthur would rather keep his belt and fight the faded marquez??? Come on bat he's becoming very hard to defend with his choices.
Abraham was never on Taylor's or Pavlik's radar before.

Miranda was heavily hyped before AA made the exposition. Probably 90% of the yank posters on NSB believed that he would win. Give AA some credit. He ko'ed Pantera impressively in Mirandas hometown and even did it despite entering the fight with a broken rib.

I find it appauling that you state that Pavlik softened up Miranda for Abraham. It was more likely the other way around if you believe in Miranda being 'softened up'. Miranda fought AA in Germany and took some vicious hooks on his way to a decision loss.

Marquez won an official eliminator thereby earning his shot at AA.

I must say it's a misconception if you think AA has to fight Pavlik to prove himself instead of Sturm. Sturm - Abraham will (if it comes off) be the biggest money-spinner in mainland europe ever outside the HW division and Sturm is a very able fighter.

Even if arthur and Sturm is a big money fight in europe it means nothing here. Only fans know who they are and the mainstream will never cover it. Proving yourself in America is the litmus test and so far prince arthur proved he can KO a guy Pavlik destroyed and broke. Miranda before the Pavlik fight and the Miranda after it are two different guys, he lost his fearlessness. Now he's afraid of the big shots since Kelly wiped the floor with him.

Abraham will earn more money fighting Sturm next than fighting Pavlik.

I can assure you also that Pavlik fighting Whobio means nothing over here. I doubt that that fight will get any ink in europe despite a slight AP note on the results page.

Maybe you think that fighting in america is the litmus test and maybe it is. But it is not to the same degree as it was 10 or 20 years ago. The money, particularly in german boxing is big.

I already made my comments about Miranda, but I can put another way: I could say that Miranda was clearly shellschocked in the Pavlik fight and that it's was due to the hammering he took from a jawbroken Abrahammer. In other words I could say with the same authority as you that Pavlik wouldn't stand a chance against Miranda had Arthur not worked him over.

My vote goes to Sturm. Since his fight with De la hoya he hasn't really stepped up his competition and attempted to establish dominence in his weight class. I'm not saying he's ****...just my thoughts.
