The money part is questionable. Like i said, Goosen refused to answer the question about the supposed $8,000,001 offer when asked. And yes, Baldomir landed on a pot of gold by obtaining that lineal champ status, but was he seen as a bigger threat/challenge than Margarito? If Floyd was so concerned with fighting for the WW champ title/s, why did he go chasing a fight with Spinks prior to Baldomir? hmmmmmmm?

Somebody has did there homework. Can you please indicate the date of each quote. Margarito was a nobody untill the Cotto fight in the general public perception. Margarito should clean out his division by beating Mosley, Berto, and especially PWILL. I would love to see a CLottey and Cotto rematch but for Margarito that isn't needed. He beat both fighters fair and square. Floyd is retired and untill he does other wise let him go. Speak on Floyd in past tense not the future.

Easy Money. Baldomir was to easy to pass up, and he was a hot fighter at the time with wins over immature Judah and old warrior Gatti.

It did alot for him. The problem with Williams is, he's not very marketable, and it has nothing to do with Margarito. Williams hardly has a following, and with a bland name like Paul Williams, its hard for casual fans to catch on. You say his name, and people think you're talking about a middle-aged white business man. A black boxer is the last thing that comes to mind when u say that name.

The bold is correct. It was an easy fight for easy money. That's it. His fans must stop making Baldomir out to be some great champion who actually posed a threat to Floyd.

Dude I laugh because I seriously think alot of you guys have bad memory. Alot of people picked Baldy to beat Mayweather and ALOT and I mean ALOT of people had interest in seeing Zab fight Mayweather considering how Zab has faster hand speed and was a south paw.

I could run back at old threads...and you'll see how many people picked Baldy.

i wouldnt say that. This thread is 15pages long. Its obvious his fanboys still feel the need to defend his cause.
