Let me make it a bit more complicated 4 u. There is a money side of boxing and a "fight to see who is best side". From a money perspective Hoya is set. That means the ball was always in his court to fight Trinidad but he chose not to "fight to see who is the best". Trinidad is about as washed up as Hoya but he chooses to test himself with harder and bigger and heavier fighters while Hoya fights Forbes and Pacquiao. Sure from a money perspective this is good but Hoya ultimately will have to be a rich old man wondering if he couldve beat Trinidad but used the excuse that it was about money( the richest boxer/promoter in the game). All you have to do is imagine Trinidad fighting Pacquiao and you realize how crazy this is.

Yes Oscar was great,.. but he's like an Old Comedians who hung around too long and isn't funny anymore,.. and can only make movies about serial killers and crazy folk,.. this fight is crazy and DLH looks like a b@#!c to the whole world for pursuing a fight with guy 4-5 weight classes below him,..

Wrong, he's only fighting them for the $$$$ and being lazy. If he really wanted the DLH fight, he would lose the weight. DLH is washed up but yet took FM to a SD, while Trinidad got dominated by an "old" Jones.

Tell me, would you want to give $$$$ to someone else when you know that $$$$$ is rightfully yours??

If you would simply move the nuts away from your eyes you would see. I know you fantasize your opinions are true but the whole time Trinidad was in Hoyas range which was from 1999 to 2005. Hoya was always in the postition to make him an offer. Now in 2008 when he fights an old Jones all of a sudden Hoya is waiting for him.(Be real)Like I said B4 Hoya is good financially so lets not make it like he is Nate Cambell Trying make money so he wont take a little less to prove his point.(Hoya felt something all you nuthuggers never felt ...Trinidads Power ..and he knew he could not beat him In Trinidad vs. Hoya II. Now he has to live with that. Trinidad a future hall of famer should not have to accept a 70 / 30 split. Hoya new he wouldnt thats why he made such an outrageous offer. Trinidad Sr even offered 50/50 and Hoya said NO...cmon man be real.

It should be the other way around, Trinidad should have fought DLH.

Plus Papa Trinidad is getting way too old and crazy by demanding a 50/50 split w/ De La Hoya even when Trinidad can't make a decent weight. I don't respect De La Hoya as a boxing fan, however I won't deny he still has more drawing power than any boxer in the game to date. Plain in simple Trinidad is washed up and De La Hoya still has some shine to his stardom. It's Simple- just look where the two fighters are at right now, at THIS POINT IN THEIR CAREERS.
I agree, who the f--- does Juanma think he is? He scores a knockout over De Leon and he suddenly thinks he's the ****, I see Juanma's story developing like Khan's did, in the ground with a lot of overhyped fans. He shouldn't be talking about fights that should happen, he should worry about his own career. . . Christ what a little kid.
