I agree completely. That is why I think Oscar would beat Floyd at 147. He is actually a 147 pounder. Floyd was a 130-135 pounder fighting at 147.

I actually haven't seen a ton of Pea, but I did see him against Oscar (past his prime) and against Chavez. I've seen bits of the Hurtado and Ramirez I fights.

I just know that he was a defensive specialist, which is always difficult to deal with regardless of what weight class you are fighting in.
Those two fights are probably my favourite Pea fights. THe first is just incredible for the technical expertise of both guys, great to watch. The second is just a great exhibition by Pea. You gotta try and get your hands on those fights, I'm sure you would enjoy them a great deal.

By the way, Sweet Pea Whitaker might have been able to.

The way he boxed Vazquez's ears off makes me wonder if he could have competed at middleweight. Vazquez was a HUGE 154 pound puncher, and neither Hopkins or Sturm were huge punchers, so... the power wouldn't be where they would beat Pea at.
Remember Sweet Pea fought Tito, who he lost to.

He also gave Young Jeezy about 500,000 dollars for *******, that he put up his nose, all at once, and then tried to fight.

Point is, he was way past his prime and deep into drugs.

                I think so.

I know he is broke now.

Sad deal, because he was honestly one of the most skilled ever fighters to grace the ring.

He shouldn't have gotten his first loss until Trinidad really... I think Oscar went the wrong way and Ramirez clearly went the wrong way. Chavez should not have been a draw either.

                Blah... such a waste.

I had Oscar beating him, but I fully agree man. Its depressing.

Wow sucks to see a talented boxer like him is broke.
Not even Mayweather came close to his defensive greatness.

Though I disagree with you on the Oscar decision, I could agree for Chavez & Ramirez. Everyone has their opinion though.

Tough call, but I gotta think SRL has a good shot at beating everybody on DLH's resume. Hearns and maybe Duran have a little smaller chance and (of course) SRR probably has the best chance of all.

Remove Hopkins from the resume and everybody I mentioned probably does it and SRL and SRR almost certainly.
