I agree, but if you look at the resume of Alexis Arguello at 130:
    -Alfredo Escarelax2
    -Kunaki Shibata
    -Bobby Chacon
    -Rafael Limon
    -Rey Tam
    -Ruben Castillo

That's beast right there. You could make a case for Arguello being the best at 130 ever too with that resume.

Mayweather at 130 was special, but the greatest is REALLy pushing it.

Cleaning out a division does not make u teh greatest at that divison.

He has to be up there though. I mean who else, Arguello and Elorde, then who else? I mean Azumah Nelson's best work was at 126.

Arguello would have lost too Mayweather for one reason
          (Straight Right Hand)...
Arguello is a great fighter, and he did **** up a undefeated Ray Mancini.

but the one thing Pryor exposed about Arguello was the straight right hand.
and if we know anything about Mayweather and straight right hands.
We know he doesnt leave home without it...

This Fight would have been amazing to see.
15 round fight in which Skill and Will...would have been tested to the fullest..

This would be my dream match at 130..

He is certainly in the top 2. Tough to chose between him and Alexis but Floyd probably edges it so I will vote yes.

The thing that made Arguello so special was just like Floyd he was
Knocking out and Tko-ing Champions and Undefeated fighters..

Almost all Arguello fights ended in TKO, win or lose.

I have a great amount of respect for him.

You make valid points but its a toss up. First it depends how weight drained both fighters are, people discredit Floyd win over Diego cuz Diego was weight drained but Floyd killed himself to make 130. I'm sure Alexis drained himself too because being 5'10 and 130 pounds aint exactly healthy.

My biggest concern for Floyd was how he let Castillo throw him off his game plan. Even in the rematch Jose would land whenever he felt like turning it up. On the other hand Alexis did lose to Pryor.

Its really a huge toss up
