that still defeats your theory that they wont put him in with someone that has a chance to beat him. Obviously celaya had a chance to beat him and you probably didn't see the fight because celeya quit because he couldn't take chavez's punches and you probably didn't see celeya's eye either. Top Rank isn't trying to impress you, they can care less what you think. He had no amatuer career and is still learning so he's learining as he goes. He himself has said he wants to step up and maybe challenge for a world championship this year.Comment

If people really thought Vanda could beat Chavez Jr., that probably means Chavez Jr. is terrible.you're such a hater. Celay, sanchez, and vanda were all opponents that were thought to be able to beat chavez. Vanda had a very controversial loss in mexico to chavez in which many people thought chavez lost so to kill your hateful opinion top ranked gave vanda a rematch and they did it in the states and well you know what the result of the fight was.
I was ****ing around on boxrec last night and say someone who beat Vanda that made me laugh.
None other, than... Andy Kolle!
Yeah, that guy who got KO'd by Williams who still had a welterweight belt at middleweight in one round.
You can't have it both ways. He has not been fighting good comp, so either... it's time to step it up, because he is better than these dudes, or he is just not very good, and he is actually being tested by these mediocre fighters.
Which is it?Comment

he's winning fights and not only fighting better guys each time but also improving. He still has a little ways to go and no one but people that want to see him fail want to see him fight a champion. People on the internet are so pathetic in hating for no reason at all. Chavez is humble, he's quiet, soft spoken yet people hate him because he's the son of a legend or because they cant affor 29.99 to watch his fights so they get pissed off. Cotto was brought up just as slowly as chavez was and up until margarito he NEVER entered the ring to fight someone that had a good chance to beat him.If people really thought Vanda could beat Chavez Jr., that probably means Chavez Jr. is terrible.

I'll take Torres, Malignaggi, Quintana, Judah and Mosley over everyone on Chavez Jr.'s resume combined to be honest. He's had less fights too, hasn't he?he's winning fights and not only fighting better guys each time but also improving. He still has a little ways to go and no one but people that want to see him fail want to see him fight a champion. People on the internet are so pathetic in hating for no reason at all. Anyway, yeah, it does irritate people that they do have to pay $30 a pop to see this kid, and he is not PPV talent right now. It's not Chavez Jr.'s fault I guess, but... I can see why people are pissed off.
If you are still having to improve to beat mediocre fighters, as a rule, you should not be on PPV. Just my take.Comment

If his team ever decides to take a gamble, Yory Boy Campas would be a very good barometer to see If Jr. will ever mAKE it at all.Comment
