I would bet the reason for him "liking" Lacy has to do with the fact that he's a Calzaghe victim. Since Tunney has this sexual insecureness it's possible that since Lacy is one of the most muscular, ripped black fighters out there it makes Calzaghe's domination of him that much greater. Of course he's now going to root for Lacy since any great win he may have will also boost Calzaghe. So essentially he uses Lacy.

I like Lacy because he's provided some entertaining fights, and he seems to be a good person. He's a good sport who gave Joe credit without making any excuses. I don't judge fighters by their color. Ask why does Tunney dislike Paulie Malignaggi and like Rocky Marciano? Is it their race, or the kind of person they are?

He went to Europe and won a world title against an underrated European fighter, and then did the same in defending the title. He's underrated because he didn't win his title in the US and on TV. He's also a man of good character, a Christian and a good husband and father.

mt102879, you seem to have a deep-rooted prejudice against black people, which you are ashamed of, and so you over-compensate for it in several ways: your "love" of Hopkins and Jones, and your stalking and harrassing me on this site to help you to deal with your guilt.

Malignaggi is not someone who acts black, he's someone who acts goofy and insecure. Mosley and Cunningham are not black men who act white, they are men of good character who are normal and well-adjusted.

Mayweather is not someone who acts "black" in talking and behaving childishly (i.e., throwing his money away) and hating his father. He's insecure and has self-esdeem issues - I know a white guy who's like that - namely, mt102879!

Race does not determine character, but a good Christian upbringing often has a positive effect! There are people of good or bad character in all races.
