    plain and basic common sense.

Running against B-Hop and Tito is not what I call being engaged in a fight, it's not what I'd call taking a risk.

When he had to take risk against Floyd Jr, he had his opportunity to take the fight away from Floyd, but he did not want to take the risks.

DeLaHoya said: "Floyd is afraid to take risks. He is afraid to lose." DLH questions Floyd's "heart". DLH says that he (DLH) always was willing to take the risks by fighting the best.

This should really irritate the Floydillian nuthuggers out there. Of course, I generally agree with Oscar on this one. But, I just have to throw the nuthuggers one bone: Oscar did skip Tszyu at 140. Now that's not enough to say Oscar is being hypocritical...I mean after all, Oscar fought Hopkins in a monumental mismatch. But, still....it's something.

I wouldn't say Floyd didn't take risks for his entire career, I think it happened once he got up to the 140 - 147 lbs.

Agreed. At 130-135, Floyd was great. After losing to Castillo (in reality), he came back and avenged that. I give him great credit for that. No. There's nothing to complain about when Floyd was below 140.

This is an arguement you can't win...DLH haters now will say cuz he fighting PAC he is not taking risks and PBF nuthuggers think cuz he was undefeated with 6 belts he's the best ever.

If you objectively look at DLH's statement it has some truth to it. DLH has fought the best fighters of his generation while PBF HAS NOT. DLH has fought: B-HOP,Vargas Tito,SSM,Mayweather,Quartey etc, etc. PBF best win is corrales.PBF never fought Casamayor,Freitas,Tzyou, in the lightweight classes and dodged Margo,Cotto or any of the other top fighters at welter. Fan of eithier fighter or not facts are facts.

We need less money grubbing *******s like De La Hoya who bring nothing to the sport now. We need less Floyd Mayweathers who have all the talent in the world but would rather call it quits & fight subpar guys than risk a loss. We need less guys like Calzaghe who has a **** record of UK bums & then at the end of his career wants to fight washed up semi-retired US fighters. We need less guys like Margarito who is now king of the Welterweight Division & doesn't want to fight anyone.

Really, props to Pacman, Arreola, Berto, Pavlik (despite the Bhop loss), Hatton (as of late), and Cotto.

exactly what Joe Calzaghe is doing, he's afraid to lose and has/is avoiding any big threat.
