Cotto is the only one that would beat Williams IMO right now. I see it as a really bad matchup for Williams and he would take a LOT of punishment.

And to the thread starter, Williams can take plenty of pressure and will keep coming at you...

Williams reminded me a lot of Corrales tonight. A tall fighter that doesn't use his height and looks comfortable, almost prefers to fight on the inside.

The key to beating Williams may be moving and countering. Something Marg doesnt really do. While it seems foollish to sit on the inside with Marg and try to out punch him, Williams did it and won.

I really, really wanna see Williams Margarito II.

I see a very supremely fit individual who throws nice combinations. Who is a gigantor compared to every guy he faces. Guy looks like a 168 pounder

I don't think he is a special fighter. He takes those punches like there a nausance.

          He is a physical wonder.

The elite fighters get him imo.

He cut the ring/distance and landed hard shots close on the inside
Problem is...Williams isn't gonna fight Margarito from close. Another thing! Margarito hand speed and foot speed is slow. So don't think that because tonight, Margarito can beat Paul.

I agree with Tengoshi, he reminded me of Bowe in there, defensively not great, he can get tagged on the inside, very tall but likes to fight there, he reminded me of Bowe more than Corrales honestly.

Yeah, Phillips was giving him some trouble with his movement as well early, Williams took over the fight when he slowed down and started becoming a stationary target.
