OK...I'm an Andrade fan...this was the first time I saw Bute fight...I think the ref was wrong for what he did...but when i counted the seconds myself I counted a 16 second count from the ref, but Bute was up at 7...even though he looked finished...when he went down the clock had 1 or 2 seconds left...do you think the ref should have waived it off...or do you think (regardless of the long count) Bute should have been cleared to continue and eventually win by decision?

lol, I just brought this up the other day.
My concern is this,
why was the ref not focused on the fallen Bute who was obviously in pretty bad shape? The ref was more concerned with Andrade and it led to a very fishy situation. He seemed to be looking at both fighters through peripheral vision just waiting for any opportunity to snap at Andrade. -

Yea Bute went down with only a couple of sceonds left in the fight and got back up at the count of 7 or 8. I don't know what all the big fuss was cause all Bute had to do was get up, And that he did. Give props to Andrade cause he took a beating and was still coming forward. Bute won fair and square.Comment

I think Bute should have gotten the win(and he did), but out of respect I think Andrade deserved a rematch... But doesn't seem like he is getting one. Also, Bute let me down since he clinched alot in this fight, never let Andrade do any inside work... And it shows why he didn't let Andrade do inside work...Comment

for real...I also noticed right before Andrade knocked him down...the ref kind of hesitated to get out of Andrades way...kind of reminds of me what would of happened if the Taylor vs Chavez fight would have gone to Meldrick...the ref def looked shady though...

I think the refs action opened up the controversy talks...Bute looked done...but he did get up...so...cant argue it much...Yea Bute went down with only a couple of sceonds left in the fight and got back up at the count of 7 or 8. The ref and timekeeper followed the rules to the exact letter.
He was overly harsh in his call to move Andrade to the corner but it would have made no difference as the fight was already over the moment Bute stood up.Comment

I think there are plenty of refs out there who would have taken a proper look at Bute and saw that he was out of it and waved it off.
