    How does boxrec rank fighters?

I've noticed some big names at the top of their p4p and divisional rankings but having Manny the generally regarded #1 p4p at #8 in their ranks is ******. How are they making these lists? based on favoritism?

It's done by computer program. No humans are involved.

So Pacquiao draws and then beats JMM and is ranked below him? I think they need to buy a new computer or switch from windows 95.

I don't think he does because Paul Williams isnt ranked number 1 from 140 to 175 like he would have it.

He does use it a lot. It's much easier to do that, than actually watch the fights you know.

They basically say it's for amusement only. I mean look at the WBA rankings for super middleweight or the WBC for heavyweight. They are equally bad.
I suspect Johnson is on there because the computer rewards good comp and the comp's record and who they fought as well and Johnson has fought some good ones.
I heard he was making some sort of comeback but I thought he quashed it so I guess they still list him as active. He's actually the cousin of former lightweight champ, Golden Johnson.
They all fought in the ams in TX.

The BCS (Boxing Championship Series) needs a playoff system.

Yeah especially if the Alabama boxer loses to the Florida boxer.
