Which considering he's fought at two weights is pretty shocking.

Plus his best wins are against Judah who's always lost when he step up a level and Mosley who was 36

I'm not saying he's rubbish but i find it difficult to see how he justifies his top 10 P4P ranking.
Whats the difference of winning a vacat belt or beating champ for it? none. If you face Champion Quality fighters for the vacant belt is the same. Theres sometimes when the guy with the belt doesnt even deserve to be a champion!!!! So thats a lame excuse from your part!!!

First Kelson Pinto was undefeted(20-0-0 18KOs) and he beat Cotto in the Amateurs twice. He was in route to be a champ. And second Cotto didnt fought Ceazar Bazan for any title. Cotto fought Pinto for the WBO vacant JWW title. And he faced Quintana for the Vacant WBA WW title. and Quintana happens to be the former WBO WW champ that gave Paul Williams his first loss.
And by the way Ceazar Bazan was the former WBC Lightweight Champion

Pinto was a guy who never made it to elite level, so not Championship level, in fact he only fought 2 fighters with a decent record and lost both.

Cotto did fight Barzan for a vacant title and the record books back me up.

Quintana held one belt for 1 fight when he lost it to a 1st round KO.

Hey Cotto and Bazan fought for the International WBC title. Thats a regional belt, not a world champioship.

The same happend to Williams he won his belt and losted the next fight. If you are trying to say that Quintana is not a champion quality figther you are out of your mind!!!

Cotto actually gained many more fans for his valiant effort against Margarito.

I suspect a lot of the hate thrown his way stems from the back and forth between Cotto and Margarito fans who argued that Cotto could or couldn't knock Margo out. Most predicted a Margarito knockout, which was more of a ref stoppage.

A lot also comes from his win over lightly regarded, cotton-fisted Malignaggi, who also gained some props for his efforts.

His value has diminished some due to the loss, but he has gained respect for going in against a very tough fighter and fighting his fight 'til he couldn't go on anymore.

It remains to be seen how much he has recovered physically and psychologically since his last outing.
