I was surprised to find out he's only 27, for some reason I always thought he was older. Paul Williams has a good record and from what I've seen looks good. He defeated Margarito, yet Margarito has gone on to become the more successful boxer, most notably defeating Cotto, now Margarito's name is put out there for superfights where as Williams is stuck in the background. There's a lot of talk on here about Williams but the casual fan probably wouldn't know who Williams is! I know he lost to Quintana but he avenged that loss! True champions are those that can take defeat and come back stronger from it. Anyway my question is why isn't Williams name up there being talked about for super fights? Doesn't Margarito want to avenge his loss?

sorry to say but paul isn't big enough to be in superfights right now... that said, neither is marg. both need to fight each other to make it in the top stratum.

Even Arum was looking at Margarito like a fool during that post fight press conference. Watch it. After Margarito watched the tape he stopped mentioning Paul Williams altogether only saying "I see I started slow and see why they gave it to him." He hasn't asked for a rematch since and it was never turned down by the Williams camp. Paul had his number in sparring and each fight with Paul gaining more experience and actually using leverage on his punches will only lead to Margarito getting hurt.
