How Well Respected is the Ring Belt???

Im not sure, tbh i think it's a meaningless title. Ring tell us it is they best but is it really that important?

It is the only one that matters. You can't just be given a Ring belt, you have to beat the guy that beat the guy that beat the guy etc. They don't get taken away just because you didn't pay sanctioning dues. And the rankings are not manipulated to get unworthy fighters title shots like the alphabet belts. If somebody asks who the Heavyweight champ is, you name the one the Ring rates as champ.

I was going to say, it's far less meaningless than any of the alphabet soup jobs.

Ring title means a lot. You get it either by beating holder or when 1st fights 2nd in the weight class. It’s shows who is the man at that division

It's kind of sad that the source of credibility in boxing stems from a magazine.
I count the Ring belt as equal to the alphabet title belts.

I'd say it's the most important of them all.

                    true
but sometimes a Ring champ overstays his welcome at champ (e.g. Hopkins, Casamayor) and that is because they are not forced to defend their title. They waste away and get older and older and everyone still has to regard them as the best in the division?
