Roy Jones is clearly a legend and I am not gonna knock him.

However I would have loved to see how he would have fared against Eubank, Collins and Benn those would have made for amazing fights.

This guy seriously doesn't know his boxing, it's almost disrespectful that someone can have their head so far up their ass enough to discredit prime Jones.. he lost all his credibility with me when he said James Toney tested positive for "Dope" and not Marijuana, right there he just showed that he is nothing more than an ignorant ******* who didn't get that punch in the face he deserves yet, he isn't even being humble about it. 1 thing is to make an error but he talks like he knows exactly what he is saying, like he is blowing some never before known **** up and everyone should listen and agree and he isn't even correct. usually I respect everyones opinion, I'd agree to disagree but I'm having a hard time here, he just doesn't know what he is talking about

Realistically speaking, Jones' resume is lacking in wins over significant names.

That said, he's still one of the most naturally gifted fighters in the history of the sport. Whether he's a HOFer or not...not for me to say, though I'm inclined to say not.

Regarding Jones' being HOF material or not....that's very debatable. His record is good, but nothing that would even put him in the top 20 or 30 ATG. Much like Mayweather, he simply hasn't fought enough tough competition to warrant that status. HOF, I suppose, doesn't really require that, and he could be inducted based simply on his popularity and fame, but that doesn't mean he necessarily deserves it. However, based simply on his Toney and Hopkins fights, I suppose you could argue that he deserves a spot in the HOF. After all, there are other names that haven't accomplished as much.

Anyway, being a HOF inductee is very subjective, and doesn't always mean you deserved it.

First this guy is bashing Jones resume and then brings up Calzaghe's come on. Even Jones resume looks like murders row compared to that ****'s. Then he says Calzaghe beat Hopkins in his prime?

I actually thought this was a legit thread criticizing Roy Jones, turns out it's just a thread from a Jones hater/CalSlappy nut hugger.

I didn't realize it until I got towards the end, way to hide it.

You know the one that always gets me is the Darius one. Jones was the IBF/WBA/WBC Light Heavyweight Champion, and Darius was the WBO Light Heavyweight Champion.

The UNDISPUTED Light Heavyweight Champion doesn't have to go anywhere to fight anyone, you want those belts you have to come to him, simple as that.
