how much better is calzaaghe's resume than hatton's?

lets match them up head to head

    kessler - tszyu

    lacy - malignaggi

    roy jones - castillo

    hopkins - floyd...

hatton's record up nicely against joe's and if he beats pacman. i will consider that a better victory than joe's over hopkins...
he's started 4 years after joe so i think when its all said and done ricky's resume will look better than joe's
especially if you look at what hatton's options are.
and i don't think the loss (or losses lol) to floyd tarnish his record at all

Both are about the same, But if Hatton fights and beats Pac man, then i'd go Hatton, who is looking pretty good right now.

You cant compare Hopkins vs Calzaghe and Hatton PBF, cuz Calzaghe actually won the fight!!!!!!! And you cant compare a 35 years old Tzsyu to a Undefeted young champion like Kessler.

i think a victory over a proven p4p like tyzsu even if seasoned is better than beating a good but limited young champ like kessler who hasn't proven himself to the world yet
i think if/when hatton beats pacman its will be better than joe's win over hopkins...
plus he still has big fights in him after that...

I'd say Joe C has a better res than Hatton.

            nah,

kessler < tszyu (tzsyu ruled 140)
lacy = malignaggi (although lacy had more hype)
castillo > rjj (I think castillo had more in the tank than rjj)
pbf > hopkins (hopkins 43 yrs old and lost to taylor 2x)

              it debatable..
i don't think it will be if hatton wins his next fight..
it hatton fights two more times and wins its a wrap

nah, being unable to KTFO a shot rjj and barely getting past a 43 yr old hopkins ain't all that. plus calz was knocked down twice by these guys.

I'd say Hatton's is more impressive.

With Calzaghe, Lacy was all hype, Kessler is still unproven but with so many top names at 168, hopefully we see some unifications which will justify just how good Kessler really is. Hopkins was old, but still a top fighter and one of the best in the division, but it's obvious who would have won prime for prime. RJJ speaks for itself.

Hatton fought a still live Tszyu, who may not have been prime, but was still a P4P'er. He then fought Maussa for another 140 title, moved up to 147 and beat another titlist in Collazo. I don't give credit for the Castillo fight, as we all know that was far from the Castillo of the old days, but granted it was a tune up. He then loses to the best fighter in the world which is in no way shameful, and then beats the number 1 contender at 140 in Malignaggi. Much more credible then Calzaghe.
