I want to see Calzaghe beat young, up and comers like Chad Dawson, and yes Tarver and Johnson are revelant *******, their both top 175 pounders, no matter their age
Ahh so it's relevant for US fighters to beat up washed up fighters, but not for non US fighters, got it.

Tarver and Johnson where NEVER top 175 pounders, much less at 40.

It don't mean as much as it woulda years ago, but it's still a relevant win for Joe.

Just for the record Calzaghe is 37 and he is past his prime too. Roy maybe shot, but Calzaghe beat Lacy,Manfredo,Hopkins Kessler, ect, ect.!!!!!! He already paid his dues.

I think Manfredo was the straw that broke the camel's back in the Calzaghe - Warren relationship.

On paper I agree. It doesnt do anything. What it did do was showcase his skills on the a big stage. And I think he needed that. Hopkins made him look like ass, and no one really watched the Kessler fight.

LOL. Another classic comment. Tarver was never the top 175? How does that work exactly?

How is that possible when both of those guys beat a younger version of Jones?
