guys, the difference is that Pacquiao tends to gain 12+ lbs overnight and still is very skinny. I seriously doubt he has more than 7% body fat.
and he really does weigh more than 147lbs naturally. he weighs 150lbs+ just walkin around normally.

Its not the first time De La Hoya has faced someone who jumped two weight classes to fight him. and when that happened, he lost. and todays De La Hoya is not as good as then.
yall are making too much out of the weight issue. its not that huge a deal, and it amazes me that people are actually complaining about this kind of a matchup
Mosley had 34 fights at 135 previous to that, and a whole amateur career at 140.
Pacquiao started at 112, and has had just one fight at 135 so far.
While Mosley had to boil down a lot to make 135 in his last lightweight fight, Pacquiao comfortably made 135 in his first and last lightweight fight.
The Mosley from 2000 who fought Oscar was giant compared to the Pacquiao that will be fighting in 2 weeks.Comment

You know full well that the last lightweight that beat him was HUGE compared to Pacquiao.

You are right... my fault. I always forget about 108, because I'm so accustomed to the stat that his first title was at 112.
It's just odd to think that a boxer so great did not win a title in every weight class he fought in. You know what I mean?Comment

Are you insinuating that Hatton and Bojado are natural heavyweights? Both walk around more than 200 pounds inbetween fights.Comment
