    not a chance, Duran going up against Barkley was more difficult. Barkley was a beast, and huge even compared to Middleweights. Barkley would have beaten any version of De La Hoya, forget todays version.

    not to mention that Duran was around 40 while Pacquiao is more or less in his prime now.

    It might be harder than Jones going against Ruiz. its pretty close.

      Certainly in his prime Oscar is better than both Barkley and Ruiz.

      Another way to look at it is that.

      Duran-Barkley 37-28=+9
      Jones-Ruiz 34-31=+3
      Pac-Oscar 30-36=-6

      Another thing to note is De La Hoya is moving down in weight, Ruiz and Barkley were fighting at their ideal weight.
