When Floyd leaves boxing the sport will die.
I'm a fan of boxing and all, but without Floyd, it's ****.

Floyd will probably come back to fight an easy fight with Hatton or De La Hoya ( maybe Pac-Man if he wins) then retire again. But his balls turn to ovaries when he hears the names of Paul Williams, Margarito, or Cotto.

His dad doesn't even talk to his son. Sr's just making assumptions right now, and reporters are quick to jump on what they wanna hear.

Not to say Floyd isn't ever coming back, but common, this is no official announcement. Sr's simply saying there's no one needs to push Jr.

welcome alframsey, here's some green k to start you off

I mean the 24/7 have been a snoozfest in my book.

You put Mayweather Sr and Hatton in one corner and Mayweather Jr and Uncle Roger in another corner, put the 24/7 camera's in the mix, and thats pure COMEDY. Can you imagine how much profanity would be used?

I mean honestly, who would want to see Mayweather/De La Hoya 2? I sure as hell dont want to see it. And I certainly dont want to see Oscar/Hatton UNLESS it's at 140. Hatton shouldnt fight ANYWHERE north of 140.
                  Kinda have to agree there.

A huge record breaking mega fight could only happen if both fighters have unique, charismatic personalities, which is why Mayweather/Hatton did so well.

It's what HBO banks on to make major fights sell.

Personality and charisma-wise, Cotto, Margo and Pacquiao don't possess that charismatic sales ability. Oscar is just the beloved Golden Boy who gets by on his good looks, large female fan base, and fighting ability to sell fights.

For the DLH fight, Floyd went on main stream media and major networks to sell the fight, not to mention his decision to play the bad guy role which boosted viewer ratings.

The public wants to be excited in anticipation of an highly intriguing match.

And if the fight lives up to its billing and is full of surprises, so much the better for everybody.

Now Maybe Bob Arum and Al Haymon can work together with Pacquaio and Mayweather.. and Maybe Cotto and Mayweather if Cotto beats Margarito... But Margarito and Mayweather Will Never Happen Until Bob Arum stop being a *****..and Put Margarito back in the ring with Williams.
                    Bob Arum:
                    1.Pacquaio
                    2.Cotto
                    3.Margarito
                    4.Kelly Pavlik

                    Al Haymon:
                    1. Floyd Mayweather
                    2. Paul Williams
                    3. Andre Berto
                    4. Jermain Taylor
                    5. Antonio Tarver

Sugar Ray Leonard would have stopped Mayweather.

Cotto Margarito was better than any of the last Floyd fights. I guess some fans need to be entertained with trash talk and Pseudo Ganster behavior. Floyd is cool but fortunately for many boxing fans we don't need WWE type antics to enjoy a sport.
