its like this. hopkins needed to beat robert allen, and dlh needed to beat sturm for the fight between hopkins and dlh to happen. There completely robbed sturm because too much money would be lost for the fight not to happen. They expected oscar to go right through sturm.. and in the end sturm gets horribly robbed. Even oscar knew it.Comment

I think it was a dive. It sealed the partnership. You honestly think that was a dive?
I don't know, it's hard for me to believe that is a constant today in the game like it was back in the 30's & 50's, Hops was just too big and strong for Hoya.
I disagree, not minding what the judges thought, the way I saw it had Sturm getting the best of Hoya up until the mid rounds, Oscar rallied and made it close enough not to consider it being outclassed. That's just my take on it.Comment

Yeah, that's the way I see it. Oscars always had an elite pedigree, always showed he belonged at the top bracket with the best.Comment

No way DLH took a dive. Why would he really? What was the benefit for Oscar's legacy??? WHich is why he's still fighting, I laugh when people say he's still fighting for the money.
People need to understand that B hop was given an opportunity when he became a partner in Golden Boy.
Oscar didn't take a dive so B hop would become a partner in Golden Boy. LOL. I'm not a DLH fan, but he didn't take a dive.Last edited by brently1979; 11-24-2008, 10:42 PM.Comment

Since when does losing 115-113 equal being outclassed???????????????????????????
He's never been embarrased the way Tito was against Winky Wight and Bernard Hopkins, that's being outclassed.Comment
