Opinions on Calzaghe-Froch?

Calzaghe has been ducking Froch for years. He's running scared of the Cobra.

I kinda agree not as desevering as Dawson, but neither are overly, pressingly deserving. Froch is good and top ranked, should soon have a belt by now and will have soon. But he's too much like another Kessler for Joe unfortunately. Not enough dimensions and no big name wins.

Still he's a top ranked, dangerous will have a belt, a huge puncher, good speed, young and prime.

If Dawson doesn't deserve a shot at Joe then who does? Hopkins? Is that it? Dawson has beaten 3 past HW champs and a former top contender in Harding.

Personally I would be pretty annoyed if Froch got that fight. He hasn't beaten anyone and neither has Pascal so there is no way he deserves that fight IMO. THere are several others that should be ahead of him on the list.

Clinton Woods would probably be a worse fight than Froch tbh.

Absolutely not.

He has been calling him out now for years, but in all that time he still has no big names on the record (Reid was years past his best so he doesnt count), come to think of it there wont be many top 10 ranked fighters on there either.

Dont get me wrong Froch has a big punch and can be dangerous, but he gets tagged an awfull lot in his fights and holds his hands down low.

This fight does nothing for Calzaghe's legacy, it just gives Froch a big payday and a chance at an upset win against a fighter at the back end of his career.

I don't understand, Calzaghe fans feel other fighters don't deserve a shot in the ring with their guy. I don't hear this from too many other fighters fans. And FRKO I'm surprised you think Pascal is enough.

Joe would pepper Froch with punches, it would be an early TKO for Joe. Froch has a worse defense than Khans, if that is possible.

The difference is Carl has a chin.

More thoughts: I don't think Joe is likely to fight Chad. I think he's more likely to face Johnson or Taylor.

Johnson definitely deserves a good payday and Joe kinda owes it to Glen to fight him.
