Cory Spinks vs. Deandre Latimore For Vacant IBF Title

There is certainly some good matchups, potentially at 154. However, let's face it, Verno Phillips has seen better days. Spinks doesn't have the power but has that "something" to get it done. Can Spinks fight with Paul Williams, never. I don't think Cory Spinks could be Paul Williams if he fought at 154 and Williams at 147.

Williams isn't going to fight at 154 forever. I think we have seen that he can and will fight from 147 - 160. I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of 2009, begining of 2010 he fights at 168. He is just freakish. The hard thing with Williams, is he is having trouble finding opponents. this is where it becomes important for him to be able to fluctuate in weight.

James Kirkland is a monster. He isn't ready for the premier of the division yet. He looked good against a tough fighter in Brian Vera on Saturday. Another match or two like that, and I think we can start to mention him in big name fights. Let's not rush it.

Hes not even dominant to be as big as he is at 147lbs.

I guess that's why he aint headed up to fight any real comp.
