I always thought he had a strong list of oppenents. he as a very solid list of good welterweights. I would like to see a rematch with Williams before the Mosley fight.

I am a big fan of both Magarito and Williams. Both I think are very good and entertaining fighters. Williams won the first fight, Margarito admitted it after the fight. Margarito did win 4-5 rounds though and it was by no means a slaughter. I am also of the belief that Margo learned from his mistakes and appeared to be an even better fighter vs Johnson,Cintron and Cotto. Most of us in here probobly agree that the Margarito-Williams II could go either way and I think those are the type of fights we want to see!!

id like to see both guys build up their popularity honestly. I think they both deserve the max payday for the fight. It will be made if Margo gets past Cotto again.

Williams still has some question marks IMO. To me, he has the tallest ceiling but his defense leaves much to be desired. It could hurt him in the future. But his positives are just off the charts...

Yup. And he's been near or at the top of the division for many years now.

Margarito is the type of fighter who fans can get behind. He's got a great, crowd-pleasing style and didn't duck or dodge (behind weird money demands, location, etc) when he was the unknown fighter. He would've done anything to get in the ring with the big dogs.

This is a guy who, not too long ago, many people claimed was ducking Cotto by fighting Paul Williams. How does that look now?
