I used to hate on Margarito until I saw his resume!

Margarito has always had the best resume at welter - long before he fought Paul Williams. Lewis, Perez, Diaz, Santos, Cintron, Clottey...he's spend much of his career fighting the guys others won't. And now it's paid off. Is it a surprise that he wants to be properly compensated and given respect? If anyone's earned it, it's him.

Why would a Williams fan diss Margarito who, essentially, made Williams what he is today. Take the Margarito win off his resume and he's simply a belt holder who needed two tries to get by Carlos Quintana. Not all that, to be honest. And this is coming from a guy who LOVES Paul.

Same with Margarito - he lost fair and square to Williams. yes he came back strong but Paul did what a champ does and closed it out with a big twelfth. And yet HE'S the one looking for a rematch.

Margarito's resume really is impressive. People also forget he give Martinez, who everyone's all over right now, his only loss. He's been around for so long, fighting at such a high level that his resume is freakin' golden.
