A used up Tyson. A Tyson prime beats Lennox IMO.

But this is NOT A personal attack on Lennox. He was probably the best from the UK @ HW.

And people are NOT disproving me. They are DISAGREEING which I expected.

Not looking to argue just looking to make sense of soem old rankings that need adjsuting.

A prime Tyson would prolly have beat Holyfield also.. the Tyson that fought Holy.. was about 8 years past his use by date..

        Damn.

So what does that make Lewis'?

Remember, Tyson postponed the Holyfield fight b4 the **** conviction. And Holyfield moved up to HW to fight Tyson specifically.

And to the other poster, I agree that A prime Foreman would have been rough for Holyfield. I just feel that EH chin and lateral movement, as well as punching power and output would have pulled him through, though it would have been a great fight.

Same with a prime and active Tyson.

Who else fought bigger HW by going str8 at them and fought to win. Hell, he even put Ray Mercer on the deck.

I wasnt trying to argue at all I honestly believe a prime Holyfield should be a All Time p4per. I just think that some of the big fighters with good jabs could beat him such as Bowe and Lewis. I think Holyfields heart is what would beat him against a young Foreman. Hes not exactly the hardest person to hit andForeman has a rock hard chin also. If Holyfield got into a slugging match with Big George I think he'd go to sleep.

            You may be right.

But remember that Holyfield ate Bowe's biggest punches in bunches and still managed to stay on his feet after 12 (1st time). But you make a great point.

Though Foreman was truly great. Holyfield had a knack for fighting harder when hurt (see bert Cooper, Michael Dokes, Bowe, etc.)

Lewis beat Golota, Mercer, McCall, Tucker, Bruno, Tyson, Holyfield twice, Vitali, Ruddock, Morrison, Briggs, Tua and Rahman, among others. almost all of those guys were champs at one time or another and pretty much all of them were top fighters when Lewis beat them. and yea, he avenged both his loses very dominantly, beating all the fighters he ever faced. not to mention Bowe openly ducked the guy.
he has a hell of a record, even if he doesnt have any superstar type of names on his record.

the Golota win does mean a lot. Golota was coming off of his asskickings of Bowe, and I think it was his first loss too. that was big.

no offense to Holyfield, but he doesnt have the heavyweight record that Lewis does. p4p, I certainly rate him higher.

I already dismantles many of the names on that list. No doubt Lewis was great.

But he did not fight to win fights decisively as Holyfield did. And,mind you, Holyfield was 20-30 lbs lighter than Lewis. His win over Mercer was thisclose.

                Holyfield beat him soundly.

Golota also took a huge beating in the Bowe rematch. Remember his lip?? He was tenderized for Lewis and Golota was never the same after that fight. Remember, Golota used to spar w/Holyfield as well. They were all under the Duva banner.

I'll always give Lewis props for beating Tua (though safety first and he was Holyfield's ex-sparring partner) and Michael Grant, who was undefeated at the time then fizzled out.

Lewis had bad timing--no fault of his own. He fought Tyson and Holyfield well after their best years. And in the rematch with Holyfield, some ringside experts thought Lewis lost. Lewis was ROBBED the 1st time.

Apparently so as they have not challenged it.
