    Paulie was right.

    In the post fight interview.
He is better than being stopped, and I was suprised and dissapointed with McGirt's decision.
He took some serious punishment aginst Cotto and finished the fight.
Let him finish the fight on his own terms.
True, he was hurt a few times and outmached, but never knocked down and put on a pretty gutty preformance.
He lasted 10 rounds with a broken orbital bone, let the dude fight for 4 and a half more minutes.

Ricky looked very good, and showed improvement with Papa Floyd.

The Cotto beating was a more painful beating while a Hatton beating physically drains you..You could see Paulie fading more and more has the fight progressed

I agree. Now way did he deserve that. There was one round left and he could have easily finished the fight.

I agree. It saved him from some punishment, but he's a tough kid and this TKO humiliates him.

It was already the 11th round.

He wasn't going to win and he knew it so he was in survive mode. He wasn't going to take chances.

He wanted one victory out of it: Lasting 12 with the Champ.

                I agree 100%.

There is NO reason for me to believe Paulie wasnt fit enough to finish the fight; mentally or physically...he wasnt punch drunk frailing around the ring or dazed...he was in the right state of mind and not hurt...

at the time of the stoppage paulie was in a clinch with hatton and it wasnt a result of him being hurt.

If I were Paulie i'd be looking for a new trainer and NOT just because he stopped the fight at an incorrect time...its because I believe paulie isnt fighting to his potential with mcgirt (you see then fight against Ngodjgo (sp???) it should have NEVER been that close of a fight.

I think mcgirt doesnt have anything more to teach paulie.

look at the other side of the ring...hatton suprised me and made actually a really good decision with floyd sr...i mean he didnt turn into floyd jr or anything but it was clear that floyd sr showed hatton a couple little tricks/tools and they worked for him.

Hatton actually learned how to get inside rather than jump in...

by the way...did anyone else notice that paulie was looking for that check left hook like floyd did to hatton?

I noticed this a lot in the fight...he was looking for that homerun knockout at times...
