Can Hatton make the adjustments needed to be a long term success at welterweight?

In his previous forays up at 147lbs Ricky has struggled to make the same impact he has at 140.can he make the necessary adjustments required under his new training regime,or would he be better served campaigning at 140?

some D and smarts would help him against bigger fighters, but at 30 it's a bit too late to make MANY changes

yeah, he's too old... but if he tightens up his defense and stops lunging in and darts in and out he has a chance to hang at 147, but i don't know how successful he will be.

The guy is 30 years old, and has a career record of 46 professional fights. He's not learning anything new at this point, everything he did last night against Paulie he's already done in the past against guys like Urango. People just tend to forget it because he rarely ever fights in that fashion.

And at 147lbs he's entirely too small, he can't hang with guys like Cotto and Clottey, and he'd be murdered against guys like Margarito and Williams.

As a Hatton fan,I was over the moon with the result last night, but even with that in mind ,paulie hit him with some good shots.ok for Ricky taking those at 140 from a guy with 5 kos,but against a margarito or clottey and especially williams, I am concerned to say the least.

Hatton is not tall and strong enough to compete with big guys at 147.

yeah, that's why he'd have to tighten up the defense and dart in and out.... he's not outmuscling 147 lbers.
