But if it was me i would of let paulie see the end.He at least deserved that...
It's better to negotiate big money fights coming off a decision loss than a heartbreaking TKO loss.

did you watch the fight? paulie was taking some serious hits! i can think, just off the top of my head, about three times he was seriously ready to go, and damn near had to **** ricky hatton to keep from going down....i'd go w/ your argument if paulie was in there fighting back, battling.....but bottom line he was a ****in punching bag the whole night, and could do nothing (but try and hold) to keep hatton off him.......good stoppage...plus he was warned beforehand. if paulie wanted to fight, he should've came out in the 11th after mcgirt told him he was gonna stop the fight, and let loose....he didn't.

You can criticize Paulie for having a bad fight, for standing in front of hatton and letting hatton get his punches off first and for paulie clinching and not moving. But to criticize him for not wanting to quit is f.ucking whack.
ok, you're a ****in idiot......cotto got the **** beat outta him, BUT he didn't quit either. his corner threw in the towel just like here....sam peter DID quit tho...

thing about maliganggi is that he has no power, so how could he fight the upper crust fighters with no power, and he can't move down in weight he's too big, he doesn't have any more to cut, he's always been a 140 pound fighter, with his brittle hands, he should either hang them up or he should find a way to develop some kind of punch that other fighters will respect.

i like maliganggi's mind set, i think he has a good ethic and means well, i kind of feel sorry for him 1) for the stoppage, although i was saying before mcgirt did if he isnt going to throw someone is going to stop it 2) he doesn't have any power to really make a claim in boxing, he can't keep anyone off of him................ with out any punching power there isnt all that much he can do, his boxing options are limited.............

maybe another trainer like mayweather sr could take his all boxing style and make him a better defensive wizard type fighter and he could do something form there without having a big punch, other than that the only alternative i think would be to get another win and hang them up because on the top level he wont be able to hang, unless he can master a willie pep style but then again, pep was able to stop guys though.......
it was "double jab AND throw the right..." you know COMBINATIONS, what malinaggi usually does.....i saw jab-hold, then double jab-hold, every now and then it was right hand-hold.....it was never as mcgirt insrtucted ALL TOGETHER though...but hearing this **** makes me sick....i've never been a fan of "moral" victories, especially in PROFESSIONAL sports...while i can understand to a degree why a fighter would want to continue on, its an argument better made by a fighter who's ACTUALLY TRYING TO WIN THE FIGHT, and not just "survive"..........the talk coming from malinaggi is that typical of a brat. it's easier for him to get through this by saying "mcgirt stopped the fight," instead of "i was getting my ass kicked for 10 rounds, and either i didn't have the ability to do anything about it, or i just didn't have the courage...." from my point of view, after hatton hurt him in the the 2nd, malinaggi was just concerned about not getting hit, moreso than hitting hatton back....who wants to see that ****? especially if its someone you care about and have a close relationship with.....

its easier to negotiate big money fights if you WIN them every once in a while....if you lose every one, it doesn't really matter how you lose 'em......

next up for paulie, maybe zab judah.....and sadly, i'd say zab beats him....THEN no more big fights for paulie at all, whether he get's KO'ed or decisioned....

heartbreaking TKO loss? this was heartbreaking to the people that believed in paulie BEFORE the fight......

this wasn't a heartbreaking TKO loss....this **** wasn't even close. hatton did to malinaggi what malinaggi said he was gonna do to hatton....

This continues the disturbing trend in McGirt trained fighters. They are all losing. And getting beat up in the process. But it is probably hard for him to turn down the large purses that come from training these high-profile fighters. Never liked him but I had picked Paulie to win. And then he fought like a *****. Screw off Paulie.

I understand his point, he was getting a tremendous beating, but at that point it wasn't a matter of winning the fight, it was about his pride to finish, and it seemed like he could. I think, when you're dealing with someone like Paulie (his ego exceeds his abilities) you should consider his pride.

Don't worry Paulie you took a beating against a fighter that only loss came to the p4p king, nothing to be ashamed about. Paulie is a good slick fighter that could give alot of boxers trouble. I say he get back in the gym and I hope Dibella can get the fight with Zab ''Super'' Judah poppin. I hope he don't get too down on Buudy, I think Buddy was looking out for the best interest in his fighter. As a warrior you never want the bout stopped, but it was best. I love NY & Jersey

Hatton is so overrated right now its ridiculous. He basically beat a 1 handed fighter...Big whoop. Hatton could never fight with 1 hand.

I'm still ****ing shocked Paulie lost, his win over Ndou really convinced me that Paulie was something special... I mean has Ndou ever been dominated like that ever by a fighter? I know Ndou fought Hatton too, but I never saw that fight.

It's not even completely the fact that Paulie lost, but the fact he wasn't even competitive. He won the first round, and after that looked like ****. And some of the judges must have felt sorry for Paulie because I think some of the judges saw 3 rounds for paulie.
