totally agree with u mate! hatton v DLH means nothing to the paying public...where as everyone in Britain wants Ricky to fight Floyd again!!! last time it was the biggest boxing event our country has ever seen. even people who don't like boxing were staying up til 4am to watch it in pubs and at house parties!!....could u imagine the re-match??????Comment

next thing we'll hear is that Oscar's dream has been to fight Vic Darchinyan and the Marquez brothers and Juan Diaz....Oscar is a joke, he's putting out this notion of a big fight in Wembley ( against the much smaller Hatton), if Oscar's serious about continuing his boxing career, let him fight his boyfriend Mosley, let him fight Paul Williams, Let him fight Margarito.....those are at least 3 names from which Oscar can choose from......
One thing about Oscar that I had grown to admire was that he never backed down from challenges, when you go thru his record its a who's who list of fighters....obviously Pac-Man is a big name, however Pac-Man is a little guy....Oscar at this point is truly avoiding "real" fights.....I just hope and pray that Pac-Man is able to pull it it off and embarass the Golden Boy!!!Comment

Oscar De La Hoya is still thinking about fighting Ricky Hatton in front of 100,000 screaming Brits at Wembley Stadium in 2009. He says the fight is one of his dreams. No longer going after the big fights in his respective weight class of 147, he appears to be targeting the big names from below. On December 6, De La Hoya will collide with WBC lightweight champion Manny Pacquiao, who jumps two divisions to make the fight at 147. [details]Comment

I knew De La Hoya was getting very moist after Hatton beat Malignaggi because he wants to go and fight another small guy.
Damn Oscar.
Your just hurting the boxing game bigtime by all these bull**** fights.
Fight Margarito or Cotto or someone like that.
This is just bull****.Comment

This is really sad, Oscar. You had previously earned my respect in the ring by taking on all comers. Now your obsession with making money is earning you deserved scorn.
How much money is enough? Is it more important than the respect of actual boxing fans and people in the game.Comment

I thought De La Hoya dream was to cheat fans out of good matchups by sticking his name in the hat with guys it doesn't belong, while monopolizing boxing & bleeding it dry...
I guess a fight with Hatton plays into that scenario.
"De La Hoya is like a turd that won't flush down the toilet."
I don't think there is a boxer more disliked & not respected on this board.Comment
