we learned that you will always hate calzaghe regardless what he does.how is it possible from someone to be paddding his record against opponents that are nearly the same age as you and have been boxing as long as you but when someone who has atleast a 10 year age diffeence between his last 2 opponents is showing that he is not a prospect anymore

Who else are you going to fight then Calzaghe? Please, not Hopkins again. I had my share of that fight the first time around.

If he fought Dawson or Johnson, I would be very happy with him.

All everyones gone on about is Calzaghe picking on pensioners. When one was the LHW #1 and 7 years older, the other a legend and 2 years older.

Those are also legitimate reasons for fights. What do you want to do, refuse to fight the LHW #1 because he's too old, even though he is the genuine top guy? Would that get you more respect?

Reasons for fights aside, thats irrelevent, the facts of the matters are if your going to rant on about age differences as some kind of excuse, it's completely legimitate to take fire back on the same basis of your logic, that infact Dawson faced older guys on the whole.

I don't dis respect Dawson much or go on about him beating older guys much as I like him, it's just when people try to completely undermine Calzaghe's wins due to age. That is way more biased than anything, that's all I'm trying to point out.

dawson unified w/ tarver (even tho I think he dropped his other belt, but i still consider him unified) and dawson is probably ranked right below joe at 175... that's also a legitimate reason by calz should fight dawson.

Calzaghe 'wasn't interested' in Kessler in 07 and then signed the fight. Chatter is part of fight building. It's a positive that people in his camp are putting the fight out there.

Of course Calzaghe has no interest in Dawson, he presents a challenge and he's not around 40 years old.

i agree....hopkins OR dawson. hopkins more financially, but dawson more for bragging rights.....

BUT i don't see a reason for joe c to fight glen johnson at all. it won't even be a good fight....

exactly....i had never even heard them mention 'dawson' up until this point. good point, i was thinking the same......
