Team Margarito Discuss Mosley, Paul Williams Rematch

Shane is still good, he's a top WW, I won't deny that. I wouldn't mind seeing the fight as it adds a name on Margs resume if he were to win BUT Mosley is asking for more than he knows he's worth. It wouldn't surprise me if he asked for 50/50 just to make people think that he really isn't ducking Margs.

Fight Clottey?? He already fought Clottey and beat him by UD. Please don't even mention the hand excuse cause Margs came into the fight injured and toughed it out.

I'm saying that Clottey would get him more credit then a Shane fight maybe, but not as much money and that might be a riskier fight then Shane at this point. But I agree the hand excuse was awful.

Like I said on my previous post. As a Margarito fan I wouldn't of mind seeing the fight cause of legacy reasons for Margs. But no matter what Margarito does people will always try to find/twist/makeup **** to hate on him.

You think its so easy to take the split because you're a boxing fan but if you were in his shoes you would prob be thinking the same thing as Marg. Now if Margs were to turn down a 70/30 or maybe a 60/40, then I would be like wtf.

I never did believe that alleged four million dollar offer for the Williams fight. "Internet offer" is exactly what it was.

ok let me just say one thing: i am a paul williams fan, and i cant stand marga******s, but i like antonio at the same time. so let me put it straight. i get what team margarito is trying to do. its not so much ducking on his part, its that he wants to maximize the dollars coming in. **** that, him and bob arum want to stack mad benjamins as tall as palm trees. they want to get the fo sho money and another dub with the cotto fight, and they want to protect that payday at the same time.

lose in january for 2 mil when you could have got more than that with the cotto fight plus take an easier fight in january and still get paid about a mil plus. lose in january to mosley, he dont even pull in a mil next time he is in a ring cotto or no cotto. fighting cotto in january is the ideal situation, cuz they can get paid, cotto has less time to recuperate from the beat down, get more than 2 mil anyways, and then margarito could either fight clottey or shane in the summer. he would get 2 mill anyways against clottey and fight a guy he already beat albeit in a grueling fight considering he would get more than double what he got for facing clottey in 06. Better yet, he could fight mosley in a ppv event in the summer, and both guys can get paid more than 2 mil each. the clottey option makes arum really happy cuz he can take a bigger slice of the pie. ****in *******.

after those three fight, margarito will move up in weight and fight williams at 154 in 2010. especially if williams wins out until then adding phillips and other names to his resume like dzinzurk, spinks, kirkland, angulo, forest, or quintana again. maybe williams wins another mw fight before 2010. by then, pride and punishment pt 2 could be worth $6,000,000,000 if both fighters can win out up to that point. if nothing like what i just type out happens, margarito is ***** made, but i will still tune in to watch him fight. just my 10 cents.

I would like to hear what Arum has to say about this, He already said the money on offer is very good and since Margarito refuse the fight he has been quiet.
