Team Margarito Discuss Mosley, Paul Williams Rematch

I am not a boxer, yet, I love the sport of boxing with a lot of passion. I've seen a lot of great fights with great fighters. Now, one thing that I know for sure is that if I was to lose to another good fighter in a title match, then I will try to avenge that lost. My point is that Margarito have lost 5 matches, 3 of those fights to mediocre fighters and 2 to pretty good fighters (Daniel Santos and Paul Williams). The first fight with Santos was a NC, the 2nd fight was stopped by a cut on Margarito's eye (accidental headbutt), yet, it was in the 10th round and he was losing the fight on 2 score cards from the judges:

Judge: Rocky Young 87-84
Judge: John Stewart 86-85
Judge: Samuel Conde-Lopez 85-86,

and he never wanted to fight Santos again. Then came Paul Williams, who beat him to a UD and Margarito have never wanted to fight him again. So, what kind of champion Margarito is? A true champion or just another one. For me he is just another champion, not a true champion, a true champion will try to avenge his loses. Margarito beat Cotto, so why is that Margarito wants to fight Cotto so bad again, I know, because of the money, yet, he could be making money too if he would fight Paul, Santos, Mosley, and so on, yet, his been sitting down to see who's going to give him more money because he beat Cotto. Now, take the example of Paul Williams when he lost to Quintana, he when back and knocked him out on the rematch, Paul knew that he needed to prove himself and avenge his lost and he did. Even Kermit Cintron when he lost to Margarito in the first fight he didn't duck him when the 2nd fight was offered to him, instead, Cintron tried to avenge his lost but with no success. You see; Paul is after Margarito when it should be the other way around, Margarito is after Cotto when it should be the other way around, Santos have challenged Margarito when it should be the other way around and the only reason Margarito wants to fight Oscar De La Hoya is for his biggest payday ever, Oscar don't need Margarito for nothing, Margarito needs Oscar to give him his retirement money and that's it. Margarito is just another champion, not a TRUE CHAMPION.

just like hopkins vs. pavlik......it was the same ****. its the NAME man. pavlik could've asked for a bigger cut, seeing as how he beat the man TWICE, who "beat" hopkins twice.....he didnt. i think the fight was 50-50 b/c of the name, HOPKINS, and the fact kelly didn't have any other BIG FIGHT options...

its the name SHANE MOSLEY......and the fact that margarito doesn't have any other BIG FIGHT options...he ain't fighting PWILL, he aint fighting CLOTTEY, so im tired of hearing WHY he turned fights down. either take the 50-50 split, WHICH IS HIS BIGGEST PAYDAY TO DATE & quit being greedy. or stfu and wait till june to fight cotto again....im tired of hearing this guy explain WHY he's turning down every fight thrown at him......

molsey was in margarito undercard.......before marg beat cotto.......

I mean come on it was ONE BIG WIN that's it!!.....Mosley's been doing this for over a decade....not to mention that right now Margarito's acting the same exact way Floyd was acting when Floyd wouldn't take the Marg fight that everyone wanted to see using the "im the draw" excuse......First he's all over Mayweather's case telling him to just be a man and fight the best, and then within two years he turns into him literally....Whenever Marg finds his ballz he'll finally step up for the P Will rematch

WRONG!! Again, WHO has fought MORE TOP Welterweights than Margarito in the last few years???? Also, Mosley's last 2 fights was a loss to Cotto & a 12th Rd KO of Ricardo Mayorga(WHO WAS EXPECTED TO LOSE EASILY). Margarito on the other hand BEAT 2 Current Champions in Cotto & Cintron by KO. If anyone has more ground to call the shots, its Margarito. Split should be 60/40 or 70/30(though I think that's pushing it). What does Mosley have to lose?? A belt?? He doesn't have that.

As a fan I would give him the credit for beating Mosley because he's still a top WW. Cotto is the most talented WW in the division, I would give him credit again, but I would give him more if he were to rematch Paul and shut him up. He's chasing the $$$$$, you can't blame him and if you do, you're blaming all boxers. Don't throw the fake 4mil offer btw.

It simply sounds like Margarito wants the Cotto rematch because there's more money in it. It did good ppv buys and the attendance was rocking.

I don't know why that's so hard to understand. They figure they can make more off of Cotto than Mosley.

This is business. This isn't phony bs calling out machismo even though it can play a minor role.

If the money is right any of these guys PWill, Margs, Mosley, Clottey, Cotto would fight each other in a heartbeat. As long as they feel they are getting a fair shake.
