marg is such an idiot... who can he fight for the same amount of money??? marg is the biggest hypocrit in the world.

I used to respect him because he took the williams fight but it is sad that he has converted to ***** mode and is doing the same thing that he railed against.

just like hopkins vs. pavlik......it was the same ****. its the NAME man. pavlik could've asked for a bigger cut, seeing as how he beat the man TWICE, who "beat" hopkins twice.....he didnt. i think the fight was 50-50 b/c of the name, HOPKINS, and the fact kelly didn't have any other BIG FIGHT options...

The Pavlik-Hopkins fight was an entirely different scenario. It was a money fight without a title on the line. Hopkins was a major draw in that fight as he was still a top ranked fighter and had recently fought a close bout against another top ranked fighter.

As you stated, at this point Shane Mosley is a name from the past only because he hasnt held a title since 2004 and already lost to an opponent that Margarito recently KOed, while Margarito is the number one ranked welterweight, one of the top ten ranked fighters in the world, the major draw in the fight and would be putting his wba title on the line. So yeah, a 50-50 split in that scenario is pretty f.u.ckin ridiculous.

hopkins was coming off 2 very lackluster performances where he looked every bit his age against winky wright amd joe calzaghe.....there were ppl calling for hopkins to hang em up.....matter of fact, almost nobody even gave him a chance to beat pavlik, there were ppl even saying he was gonna get KO'ed, which had never been done before to him.......going into that pavlik fight, hopkins was seen just as "over the hill" as you guys are trying to make mosley seem.........

hopkins wasn't even pavlik's first choice. it was like his 3rd choice, he took the fight cuz his alternatives had all fallen through. hopkins was his only choice for a ppv fight...kind of like mosley is for margarito......the problem is, guys are looking for pavlik-hopkins money, when margarito-mosley are not the caliber of fighters as hopkins and pavlik.......

mexicans have a higher standard of pride and machismo than any other nationality. mexican boxers are expected to avenge losses (like MaB, Morales, & JMM) and take on all comers (like JCC and Castillo).

At one point margarito did attempt to avenge losses like his rematch against Santos and he did fight anyone that would fight him, but since his loss to Pwill and his victory over Cotto, marg has lost his way. by acting like a prick now, he discredits himself and proves that dlh was/is justified in not fighting marg.

Man I really wanted to see Tony against Shane. I believe that Tony would've blast Shane and make the Cotto rematch more interesting.

As a fan I would give him the credit for beating Mosley because he's still a top WW. Cotto is the most talented WW in the division, I would give him credit again, but I would give him more if he were to rematch Paul and shut him up. He's chasing the $$$$$, you can't blame him and if you do, you're blaming all boxers. Don't throw the fake 4mil offer btw.

i think we all would like to see him fight PW before he fights any1 else, but it doesn't look like thats gonna happen anytime soon at least, so lets move on for the moment....

Wow Margarito put on a terrific performance on july 26 and Im a COTTO fan but I was quick to give Margarito the credit he deserves for his BIG win.. That being said I guess TEAM MARGARITO is not reading the newspapers or seeing TV and seeing how BAD the economy is. So he passes up 2 MIL to fight Mosley?? Is he being managed by WINKY WRIGHT?? That's a damn shame....Wait he will proves us all wrong and come back and make a fight for more $$$. Imagine you were Margarito, you won 2 straight times against TOP RANKED COMPETITION, you're possible opponent(Mosley) wants to fight you but wants half of what you want, after being 1-1 last 2 fights and barely beating someone he was SUPPOSE TO BEAT.
